What this calculator returns

This truck driver pay calculator combines common trip-pay components without guessing taxes. It supports loaded and deadhead mileage pay, hourly work, detention, stops, layover, per-load amounts, bonuses, and manual deductions. How this is calculated

Mileage pay multiplies all entered paid miles by cents per mile. Hourly pay multiplies entered hours by the hourly rate. Detention, stop, layover, per-load, and bonus amounts are added as entered, then manual deductions are subtracted.

Weekly, monthly, and annualized projections scale the trip result by entered trips per week. Monthly uses 52 weeks divided by 12. Projections are labeled estimates because workload, miles, accessorials, and deductions vary.

Worked example

At 65 cents per mile for 800 loaded miles and 100 paid deadhead miles, mileage pay is $585. Add $75 detention, $50 stop pay, and a $100 bonus to reach $810 before other hourly, load, or deduction entries.

Across 900 total miles, effective gross pay is $0.90 per mile. If the work took 22 total hours, effective gross pay is about $36.82 per hour. Two similar trips per week project to $1,620 weekly, but that is not a guaranteed schedule.

How to interpret the result

Effective all-mile pay reveals the effect of unpaid or differently paid deadhead. Enter mileage consistently with the compensation agreement before comparing offers or settlements.

Accessorials should be entered only when earned and payable. Manual deductions are included for settlement review, but the tool does not decide whether a deduction is valid.
