Freight Totals
Terms of Use
Review the terms for Freight Totals estimates, quote requests, third-party services, user responsibilities, warranty limits, and governing law.
Effective date: August 14, 2026
Last updated: August 28, 2026
By accessing or using Freight Totals, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
Estimates and informational use only
The calculators, charts, articles, and reference data provide planning estimates and general information only. They are not live rates, bookings, carrier approvals, official classifications, or engineering, legal, financial, tax, customs, hazardous-material, safety, or building and code-compliance advice. Results may not reflect a carrier tariff, contract, packaging rule, accessorial charge, current regulation, product specification, or site condition that applies to you.
Verify before acting
You are responsible for complete and accurate inputs. Before relying on a result, verify dimensions, weights, classification, equipment, load securement, rates, legal requirements, and supplier specifications with a qualified professional, carrier, engineer, lawyer, accountant, code official, or supplier as appropriate. Do not make a shipment, purchase, construction, compliance, or financial decision solely from a site result.
Saved shipment requests
When you submit a shipment request, you ask Freight Totals to store the contact and shipment information you provide and to contact you about that request. Carrier and broker matching is not currently active, and saved requests are not transmitted or sold to carriers or brokers. If matching is introduced, the request form and privacy policy will identify the recipient before information is shared. These terms do not replace the specific consent shown beside the submission control.
Freight Quote Funnel
A customer quote funnel prepares shipment information for the freight company named on that funnel. It is not a live rate engine, booking platform, tender, dispatch tool, carrier-availability service, official NMFC classification, guaranteed transit time, customs service, TMS, marketplace, or freight-broker licence. Submitting a request does not create a booking, guarantee acceptance, reserve capacity, or bind FreightTotals or the receiving company to a price or service.
Freight companies are responsible for their public identity, service rules, staff access, lead response, legal authority, quotations, and use of submitted information. They may not remove required planning disclosures, alter FreightTotals formulas, add arbitrary scripts, impersonate another business, or present an estimate as an official classification or guaranteed rate.
Subscriptions and cancellation
The Free plan does not require a card. Paid Broker and Broker Team plans renew monthly or annually through Stripe until cancelled. Annual prices equal ten months of monthly pricing. Plan limits and prices are shown before Checkout. Cancellation is self-serve through the dedicated Stripe portal and takes effect at the end of the billing period unless law requires otherwise. After any stated payment grace period, premium routing and branding are disabled and the customer embed falls back to a free calculator. Existing settings and leads remain available read-only under the retention policy.
Third-party links, advertising, and affiliate relationships
The site may display advertisements, sponsored links, affiliate links, or third-party content. Freight Totals may receive compensation when you view, click, request information, or complete a transaction. A link or placement does not guarantee or endorse a third party, and your dealings with that third party are between you and them.
Permitted use
You may use the site for lawful personal or business planning. You may not interfere with the site's operation, bypass access controls, introduce malicious code, scrape at a volume that impairs service, misrepresent a Freight Totals result as an official approval, or use the site to violate another person's rights or applicable law.
Intellectual property and sources
Freight Totals owns or licenses the site design, original text, software, and graphics. Third-party names, standards, data, and marks belong to their owners and may carry separate terms. Source citations identify reference material but do not imply sponsorship or affiliation.
No warranty
The site and all results are provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Freight Totals disclaims all express, implied, and statutory warranties, including accuracy, completeness, currency, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. Freight Totals does not warrant that a calculation, source, provider response, or third-party service is accurate or suitable for your circumstances.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Freight Totals and its operators, affiliates, suppliers, and partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunity, cargo, or use, or for costs arising from reliance on an estimate, a third-party service, inaccurate input, interrupted access, or stale source data. Where liability cannot be excluded, total liability for claims arising from the site will not exceed the greater of CAD $100 or the amount you paid Freight Totals to use the site during the 12 months before the claim.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Freight Totals and its operators from claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the site, your submitted content, or your violation of these terms or another person's rights.
Changes, suspension, and termination
We may update the site or these terms, correct errors, change features or sources, or suspend access when reasonably necessary. The dates above identify the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law and disputes
Subject to mandatory consumer law, these terms and disputes arising from them are governed by the laws of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. The courts located in Quebec have exclusive jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer law requires another forum or governing law.
Severability and contact
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. These terms and the Privacy Policy form the agreement for site use. Questions can be sent through the contact page or to privacy@freighttotals.com.
